Calathea Orbolia

Two shades of green have never been more beautiful.  Maybe it’s the thin contrasting green lines or the full, round leaves that elicit a sense of longing.  This indoor plant tops it off by offering beautiful foliage that slowly unravels before you, day by day.  You will find yourself anxiously awaiting the full-frontal reveal of each new leaf.  Give these houseplants a little extra humidity and a watchful eye for best results.

Money Tree

The Money Tree is a plant that has many legends and beliefs originating from China. Although there are many tales and stories as to its beginnings, the most common story is that a truck driver in Taiwan had decided to braid the trunks of five small trees in a single pot. A more legendary tale floats around of a very poor farmer who was very down on his luck and spirit. One day, he found a very curious looking plant with braided trunks. Upon inspecting the plant, he found the plant to be very hardy and resilient, and took this as a lesson that he as well should learn to be resilient and strong.

Monstera Deliciosa

Monstera may be the perfect houseplant for you if you're looking to create a big, bold, tropical feel in your home. It features big (2-foot-wide) leaves that look like they have holes or cuts in them, giving rise to two of its other common names: Swiss cheese plant and split-leaf philodendron (while monstera is not a type of philodendron, it is closely related to them).

Red Prayer Plant

The plant gets its common name from the fact that its leaves stay flat during the day, then fold up like praying hands at night. TheMaranta leuconeuraspecies has some of the most strikingly beautiful, decorative leaves in the plant kingdom. The popular tricolor variety has deep green, velvety leaves with yellow splotches down the midrib and arching red veins traveling to the leaf margins.
